The rarity of the small window
Anybody know exactly how rare a small window is? I have a 67 chevy k20 with one and my brother swears I should keep it just for the window. How many came with a small window? What other options are really rare?

Re: The rarity of the small window
Not rare at all. I believe they were pretty common in 67 and an option in 68 - or the other way around the big window was optional in 68.

Re: The rarity of the small window
It's not a rare "option" at all. It was "standard" on all 1967 trucks. Some 67's were optioned with the large rear window, but not many. 1967 was the only year it was available, in 68 all cabs had the large rear window.

Re: The rarity of the small window
Not sure of the numbers but the small glass in 67' was the norm and the big one is the rare. Then in 68' up went to all big back glass.

Re: The rarity of the small window
depends what you call rare, are they hard to find no. but since they were only offered in one year (67) if you got one that signifys your truck as a 67 at first glance so if your like me and shaveing your marker lights and trim might be just that tuch to keep people wondering, but relly its just what do you prefer caus if you have a bad a$$ truck no one is gona care if its 67-68 or pieces of both, thats why i like custom stuff as long as yours don't look just like mine im happy and if nothing else i at least want the bragging rights on that cool idea i had first,,,catch my drift have fun and make it unique

Re: The rarity of the small window
I think you used the wrong word , they are COOL not rare , I guess they are rare nowadays seeing as how the 67 only had it and they made the truck's from 67 to 72 ,
I love mine , two thing's I was not gonna give in on , one was a 67 small window , two was that if I got a stepside it would have to have the fender cut out for the spare tire ,,, I ended up with a fleetside but I got my small window .

Re: The rarity of the small window
The small window in 67 was a standard option. to my knowledge Only 20% of the trucks made in 67 came with the optional big back window. In my opinion i like the big back windows better but im a sucker for every type of these trucks.

Re: The rarity of the small window
Is the small window slider a factory option or an aftermarket thing. If so, where can I get one?

Re: The rarity of the small window
Ok,the small back window is nothing special for a 67 but if that is a original 3/4 ton 67 4wd it is a one of 2773

Re: The rarity of the small window
So it's not so big that I have a small window, but it being a K20 is. How many were made is 67 (to scale 2773)?

Re: The rarity of the small window
The thing about small window cabs are they were available in 67 only however, in 68-72 they were standard on the larger cabs 50-60-70-80 series.

Re: The rarity of the small window
I have one on my '69. (Original cab has rust issues yet to be addressed).
***I would gladly trade it for a big-window.*** One day I will swap it back to big window, so it looks correct.

Re: The rarity of the small window
I like it. My so-called '67 project might yet be changed to small window if I come across a cab before moving forward. I see the back panel is now reproduced, but I don't want to cut that deep into a good original cab
Here's a fine one
