?seatbelts?
What are you guys doing for seatbelts? I don't have my originals. I couldn't use them anyway because of wrong color. What kind of aftermarket seatbelts have you used? How hard were they to install? Where did you get them?
I don't seem to have many options. I would like to go with a 3 point system, but regular lap belts would be fine if I can get what I need.

Re: ?seatbelts?
I think there's a FAQ on belts from a S-10.

Re: ?seatbelts?
I pulled a set of three-point belts out of a mid 80's Suburban. The belt I took out of the driver side of the burb, I mounted on the passenger side of my truck. And vice versa with the other belt. This way, I had to only slightly bend the bracket to keep the plastic box part from touching the door. I also trimmed the plastic a little bit where it covers the bottom of the bracket(because I bent the bracket) They look and work great!

Re: ?seatbelts?
I have had several in mine from the 90's C1500. Those from the regular cab (blue) ones can mount in your stock floor holes with the tank out, other wise the driver's side won't slip back far enough.. The center parts mount in your original holes.
The Extended cab model (grey) have a smaller/flatter base that I prefer, but They are not a direct bolt in to the stock bolt location. It is hard to find them uncut in the yards here though. You can also try some from the streetrod guys. This guy's stuff is really good. http://www.julianos.com/seat_belts.html

Re: ?seatbelts?
Bill, I really like yours!. I have bought a few sets of these off ebay and like them even though they are 2 point belts. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RETRA...QQcmdZViewItem
Here are a few pics. You will have to make an extension bracket for the receiver to reach up thru the bench. They also sell 3 point belts.

Re: ?seatbelts?
Sounds like Juliano's is the way to go. They have charcoal gray which is the color I need. Everyone else just has light gray.
Thanks for the help guys. I love this board.

Re: ?seatbelts?
IMO - buy new belts.
When you buy used belts you have no idea if they have already been involved in an accident and are compromised. |
