how do you remove bearing races from a rotor
im in the process of replacing the wheel bearings in my truck, but i dont know how to remove the old races from the rotor. i have tried using a flathead screwdriver and a big hammer, but they didnt budge. what do yall suggest?

Get a large steel punch and a good hammer. You are losing force from the soft screwdriver handle.

You've probably already seen the two notches inside the rotor. Place the punch there and commence to bangin'. Pete |

good call. i give it a shot. i heard somewhere that i should use the old races to install the new ones. is that the most efficient way?

If you have access to a welder run a short bead in the center of the bearing from inside to out or center of rotor to exterior of rotor and it will come out easier. Stinks like he!! but works.
