Steering wheel paint?
Anyone paint there steering wheels? If so what paint did you use and how is it holding up. Mine is white but is it peeling pretty bad.

i did mine...i wet sanded it sprayed in with rustolium 2 times coverage.
glosswhite let it dry in the sun 2-3 days before touching it..mine held up 3 years now

There are a few threads in here about that. one guy used filler to take care of the cracks and even opened them up a bit to give the filler more to grab to.

I'll second the rustoleum finish. just be sure to use the rustoleum primer so it's compatible with the finish coat. just be sure to let the undercoat flash off the solvents before recoating

Since the thread was started in 2007 he has probably already figured a solution lol. 5 year response time
I am glad however I ran into this as I asked this same question a while ago and did not get a response. |
