question about 56 gmc suburban

would the front body clip off of a 55 chevy truck and doors off of a 55 chevy truck fit on a 56?

Also, does the suburban use the same frame as the trucks?

my dad had a 57 gmc sub and we used 55 chevy front sheetmetal on it with no problems, and yes the doors are the same, not sure on the actual frame though

the frames are basically the same. the only difference i found was for the rear bumber mounts. spend $25 on a repro "factory assembly manual" and you will see difference in the brackets.
