I believe it is, or at least a dealer add-on. Might ask cstanly. He has the "Eagle" Blazer version of this decal scheme. Here's a pic of the 71-72 scheme they did.

my thinking it was a dealer installed option, or outsourced to a customization shop, ie Choo Choo Customs of Chattanooga TN??

1969 Designers at Chevrolet were just getting into the groove of drugs?
It looks a lot like the bird on the first generation firebirds.

Re: 1969 "Hawk" truck on Ebay!

Thet were sets of stickers called "Mod Bods" that dealers sold through the GM Accessories program.I like theway the Hawk pattern makes the wheel openings look anglular...NOT!!That was a funky time for promotions.

See this is what happened to your truck in the late 60's early 70's when a stoned hippie painted your truck!!!

Here's a 72 with the same scheme. From Chevrolet Truck display at 1972 Chicago Auto Show. And also a Mod Bod pic that I saved from this forum.

If you mean the top pic it is as far as know from the 1972 Chicago Auto Show, I got it from a friend and he said it was from there, or if you mean the avatar pic, that one is from my truck.

I remeber seeing 2 blazers at 6 Flags in St. Louis, one with the feathers and one with the flames. Thought that was the coolest and at 12 years old, started my love affair with the blazer!!!

Re: 1969 "Hawk" truck on Ebay!

How about those chrome reverse wheels on the Blazers?I wonder if they were in the accessory program?I`ve never seen then shown in a brochure. They usually never show aftermarket on vehicles unless it`s an upfit on a commercial vehicle.I can`t tell what`s on the Suburban.Almost looks like Buick Road Wheels.

"Mike" was short for "Mikado" the upper trim package they came with.Did yours have the Mikado badge on the rear bedside or did the stikers take it`s place?
