Post Truck Parts Small Biz starting up.

Registered as a small business today with the local officials. Going to service the Canadian market near my Winnipeg Manitoba Canada location. Will ship to USA also. Major dealings will be selling used 67-72 truck, suburban and blazer parts. Will be hunting for complete trucks shortly or rarer parts and items... if you have some parts in mind your looking for ....email
truckranch@hotmail.com that's the Business email for now. I have a decent selection of used items now. Wife has encouraged me to do this..so it's a family business. She will be involved plenty.
Would like to get involved with some of the new parts suppliers also. Any advice..I'll take it.

One thing I'd like to suggest is that you don't part out fixable cars/trucks like so many other business's do. There's so much of this going on it's not even funny.

Lets save every buildable truck that's left! They won't be making anymore...

If you get a hold of a builder, why not sell it complete as a fix-er-upper? That way we keep these trucks on the road where they belong.

Remember the day people parted out '57 Chevy's? It won't be long until these trucks are just as rare as they are today.

That should be interesting rod, I have started to notice more 67-72 trucks in the winnipeg area you will probably do good business. If you are looking for parts trucks to buy I may no of a couple truck around that you don't know of all though I am sure you have pretty much found them all in this area. There is a place in Winnipeg now that is ordering parts in for 67-72 chevy trucks, blazers, suburbans now and they have a lot of stuff in stock. They are called Walker auto parts which I am sure that you have probably heard of them before they are on Century street. I ordered a few things from them they seem really nice and he even let me go in the back and look at all of his inventory. I have my truck back at home now and it is all painted and I hope to have it back on the road this weekend I will have to show it to you sometime.

Talk to you later and good luck with the business

congrats! im thinking about this also, except that im in an area where very very very few vehicvles befer the late 70's exist and survived the climate and demo derbies and etc. but im only temporary til next year, so,.. id have to haul in from other states to find anything at all, what Bons409 described has alrwady done happend in alot of regions already, too late now unless are in south or west or some of canada from what i hear, no joke...
good luck Rod!

As far as new parts goes, I hear you can get ahold of LMC, show that you are a lagit business, and get a rather large discount. Then jack it back up to there crack smokin prices...or a bit lower. Then, as you build an invintory, and are known, you can actually buy from the people who make them, instead of through LMC.
If you were to talk to GMC Paul, or Wes, they are both very helpfull. They both pointed out some very good points when i was thinking of marketing the 3rd brake light/cargo light thing a while back.

Welcome to the board.
I see this is your first post.
If you look at the "date" of the very first post in this thread,... you will see that this thread is over 10 years old!

I suggest looking around in our classifieds section.

Again,... welcome.

You might also go back and refresh yourself on the rules for buying and selling on this board.
You agreed to these rules when you registered.
