my truck is parked for a while...
well, a few weekends back, i gutted all the (rigged) wiring out of my truck. 3 weeks later, reality has set in, and i called my insurance agent to tell him my truck is going to be off the road for "an undetermined amount of time".
so, for all practical purposes, im pretty sure shes put away for the winter. ive never had a 2nd vehicle before, so im not sure what ill be expecting come the next time i try to start her up. anything special i can do (taking into consideration that im unable to crank the engine) to make her time in the garage a little better? or will i just be at the mercy of evaporation and whatever else inside my carb and intake until such time as i can get the wiring finished? hell, im pretty sure the tranny will drain itself into the basin that i put inder the tailshaft during the time it sits... out of curiosity how many total quarts of tranny fluid can a TH350 hold? Re: my truck is parked for a while...
Jack the rear up and set on stands will keep fluid in the tranny. If you don't plan on cranking it any take the gas line loose and crank it until dry.
Put some stablizer in the gas tank also.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |
