Installing gauges
Hey Guys,
I picked up a three-gauge set (temp, volt, oil pressure) to hang under the dash. Any suggestions as to where the best place to put the temp probe. I was thinking about removing the temp light sensor up by the thermostat housing and putting it there. Could you guys that these types of gauges tell me where you hocked them up? I have a inline 6 in the truck. Thanks, Tim |

Re: Installing gauges
I don't like unhooking the temp light, find a spot on the head to install it. You get a better temp reading(consistant) there instead of by the thermo housing.

Re: Installing gauges
Ive heard MANY times the best water temp location is on the head. You can find a hole just after spark plug #1 and before #3.

Re: Installing gauges
I would also say the head is the best spot.
