1968 C 30 bucket seats question

I found a set of buckets in a C30 with option code # O4ASOAC on the glove box door. I'm thinking of putting buckets in my 71 4x4. Are these the same seat and design as what would have come in the 71???

In 67-68s,those would be buddy bucket seats..Totally different than 69-72 bucket seats, but worth $$.

Re: 1968 C 30 bucket seats question

Why did you call it a buddy seat? The owner said he didn't know i they are origional or not. I don't know, but they are green vinal with the same design as the steel door panels.

Re: 1968 C 30 bucket seats question

67-68s were called buddy buckets.Middle seat,where on 69-72s there is a console.

Here's a pic of a set of rough 67-68 buddy buckets.Below them is the seat frame the seats bolt to where on 69-72s,the drivers seat, and passenger seat have individual brackets, and then the console is screwed or bolted to the floor.

Re: 1968 C 30 bucket seats question

They said they made this pickup into a camper and cut a hole from the cab into the camper. The was just a piece of carpet covered plywood between. the seats. I guess I was wrong when I told him there was a console missing. He was going to try to locate it.

Re: 1968 C 30 bucket seats question

Those look like the correct buddy bucket seats, but i am thinking they cut those in the middle. Look just like the ones i have right down to the color. See what the inner mounts look like. The inner mounts on mine are made from plate steel that did not match the outers. If the price is right, i would get them...

All they did is remove the buddy seat. He is looking for it as we speak. Not very good pictures because it's a pig pen inside. You can see its the origional GM seat foam and frame is all there. Looking from the pass. side.

Re: 1968 C 30 bucket seats question

If it was from a camper they may be non-GM seats. If they are the 67/68 buddy buckets they are worth a bit more than the later style (IMO).

Re: 1968 C 30 bucket seats question

I'll try to get back to it an take pictures tomorrow. It's not an origional camper. It's home made from a c30 flat bed. But this pickup with factory buckets. No tears in them. What your idea of $$$

Re: 1968 C 30 bucket seats question

I parted a 68 c-30 camper conversion. It had the original buddy bucket seats that the conversion company cut the center seat out, made some brackets and bolted them back down. Center was cut out to get into the camper from inside. As far as value, a pic would help. I shouldn't say what i paid for mine... If you can get them for less than $100 and they are correct, don't hesitate.

# O4ASOAC Bucket seats. This was listed on the glove box. So the pickup came with them. Just trying to make sure the ones Im looking at are really them.

The ones I've seen in the motorhomes are like the ones Americanrider posted, which aren't the same as the pickup ones.

Buckets, Air conditioning, Detroit Locker no spin and a 327...I'd go back for some of that too.
