Gas Tank Pressure

Does anyone else have this problem my Gas tank pressure builds up so much it forces fuel out of the key hole of the gas cap. It is doing terrible things to my paint. The original gas cap doesn't have a key hole but the fuel still dumps around the seal. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

How are the 72s vented? Did they have the canister?

The '72s had a vent tube coming form the top RH corner, and the hose ran up the RH cab corner over a hook and back down the cab corner wall and through the cab floor. It ran up the frame and across the rad. support to the charcoal canister mounted on the LH backside side of the rad. support.

The EEC vent system I described is only on '72s. Which may be why you're having a problem with your '69.

Drill a small hole in the cap. 1/16". You won't destroy the planet.
