I used the short painted style on my 68 4x4, I think it gives it a classy look.

Re: Anyone Have Front Bumper Gaurds?

I have a tall chrome set I added to my '71 4x4. Not usefull "per se" but I like the look better than a plain front bumper. Actually woudn't dream of trying to actually push something or some one's vehicle with them. I have a 20 ft' nylon tow strap and original style tow hooks for that. If that doesn't work I have a cell phone they can use to call AAA.

Re: Anyone Have Front Bumper Gaurds?

Not installed as of yet, but here are a few of my original GM 67-72 front bumper guards. These are all out of my "Just Collecting Dust" parts collection as my wife calls it, she also likes using the term "new old sh!t" when referring to my parts stash . The pictured set of chrome 67-70's still contain the original sales receipt (in the box) dated 6-15 of 67 at which time they sold for a whopping $14.54 with the .29 cent tax included, originally purchased from Bob Reid Chevrolet in Levelland, Texas... anyone know if they are still around? Re: Anyone Have Front Bumper Gaurds?

That`s cool!I`ve only ever seen one pair of painted 71/72s.They were on a 3500 cattle truck that was beautiful and for sale.I wanted that red truck so bad.It was a 1t with the 5&10 lug pattern.I`ve rarely seen those, also. This was a 60" CA truck. Here`s mine...
Her`s mine:

71/72s on a`70:

Re: Anyone Have Front Bumper Gaurds?

Seein' the short chrome guards made me think of a set of "Dagmars" on a mid-50's Caddy, but instead of the giant boob look, these guards remind me of Lt. Blips, in Beetle Bailey.

My mind is a fertile place, for sure.
