Ebay listing?
This one looks a little fishy too...like Green Monster's.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...QQcmdZViewItem Although I could be wrong.

Re: Ebay listing?
61 bids canceled so far with 11 minutes to go. Scam for sure, I've seen this before on a 68 Charger listed as a 68 Challenger. I'm just not sure how this scam works. On the listing, click on the number of bids next to history. Scroll down past the current bidders and you'll see 61 canceled bids. Anyone know how the scam works?

Re: Ebay listing?
I guess he got tired of using Green Monsters Blazer so he picked a new one to use. It's a scam for sure.

Re: Ebay listing?
I thought it had been listed in Oregon once. It must be a scam.
What he does is cancel the bids then contact bidders outside of ebay to tell them the sale he had didn't go through and they can still purchase it. This way, he gets multiple payments.

Re: Ebay listing?
What is with some people... Seems that there is no shortage of low-lifes out there trying to scam innocent folks out of their hard-earned money. All I can say is it's good that members of this board catch some of these scams and help expose the people running them. It would be heartbreaking to pay for a nice old Chevy truck and realize you've been duped... That's like getting slapped on both sides of your face (no money and no truck).

Re: Ebay listing?
I think it is from Oregon. It was on the Eugene, OR Craigslist and the first time it was on ebay it was listed as Eugene.

Re: Ebay listing?
this is interesting.
i saw this guys blazer on craigs list months ago when i was looking to buy mine. he lives in oregon i think. i actually called him and talked with him about his truck. possibly another victim of these crooks using photos of nice trucks when the real owner has no idea? hard to believe the guy i spoke with was blowin smoke. he seemed to know everything about the truck and had that "blazer affection" that so many of us do. shame...

Re: Ebay listing?
But, I still don't understand how this scam works. Why cancel over 60 bids? That's probably not something everyone looks at, but I always do. Scroll down to the bottom of the "view bid history" page and it lists bid retractions and cancelatoins. At least it does while the auction is still current. I think that goes away when the auction ends. But, why cancel all those bids?

Re: Ebay listing?
I tried looking up different scams on ebay. I don't know, maybe this is it....
Contact Me This is a classic scam. The scammer will list an item. Usually a car or high valued item with the "pre-approved" bidder feature. Since an interested member wants the great deal, they email seller. The seller/scammer talks the interested buyer into an off eBay transaction. The scammer doesn't have the item, It was listed for the purpose of have buyers contact them so they can con them out of their payment. Keep the transactions on eBay. If the seller wants to take the transaction off eBay, odds are they are up to no good.
