Re: leather dye?

I havn't used this particular one, but I 've used leather & vinyl dye by S.E.M.
I used it on a set of buddy bucket seats and dyed the blue vinyl trim black and the dlue cloth of the seats black and its held up for about 3 years. I think it cost about $8-$9 a can. I also used RIT dye to dye some seat belts black that had been light blue- didn't work out too well, I think the seatbelts are nylon(?) and don't absorb the dye as well?. I'm going to try the SEM or maybe the product your looking at to see if it covers a little better.

Re: leather dye?

I've used mar-hyde on motorcycle seats, never used this particular product. Mar-hyde worked pretty good and lasted a full season of riding.

Re: leather dye?

Do you guys think it would come off on a person's clothes? It gets pretty hot and humid down here.

It won't come off like your thinking. If anything, it will flake off.

I suggest you use SEM Brand if you are doing vinyl seats or door panels.
