Re: looking for cheap but effective dynamat

I found a bunch of wide pipe wrap on ebay that I used in my chevelle, it had a foam layer with adhesive on one side and aluminum on the other. It is also good for insulation for heat.

This car has an x-pipe with straight-through style mufflers that dump right before the axle, and it is remarkably quiet in the cab.

Hey meathead,

I am to lazy to look up the old post, but someone on the site mentioned using this stuff from lowes and seemed to have been happy with it.

Yeah found some. It wasn't this kind exactly but this is similar:

*EDIT* that stuff at lowes looks the same, and its a little cheaper if you take into account the shipping.

This stuff is very good. I used it on a couple of my cars with good results so far...

Re: looking for cheap but effective dynamat

FatMat is very good and priced reasonably. IMO it is better than Dynamat.

You can get FatMat on Ebay for a very good price also.

Re: looking for cheap but effective dynamat

I've mentioned it in this site before: I followed that FAQ on the Peel-&-Seal and I thought the stuff was very ineffective. I would not use it again. It also SUCKED to get off.

Next time I'll go with a real sound deadener... my .02

I've heard good things about this stuff called brown bread

www.b-quiet.com/

There's even some comparison tests on the site.
