700r4 and small hump
Im thinking of putting in a 700r4 in my 67 c10 stepside. It has a 350 will the 700r4 clear the transmission hump. I dont know what kind I have its a 4 speed 2wd. or if i use a th350 or th400 will I need modifications to it or will i need the large hump. i hope you guys can help me out.

Small hump will clear just fine, but you'll have to move the crossmember back about 1.5 inches. If you have a factory 4 speed, you have a large hump right now. Either one will clear, you'll just have to close up the tranny hole in the large hump.

I did the same conversion in a 69 truck. and yes it will fit...and like red71 said you have to move the crossmemeber back...
