Re: manual or power rack

I have a manual rack on the truck with the small block and a power rack on the big block.............I do not find any issues with the manual rack. However, if you are going to use a big block then a power rack is a must........just my .02

Re: manual or power rack

Mine has the power rack. I don't find it too sensitive and works very well in the parking lot. I think some of the earlier set-ups had a problem going from the GM pump to the f**d rack but there is valving now to correct that.

Sometimes you get what you pay for!
Tell us what it is you would like too do, are you building a truck or just trying to put a budget in order.
Look back on some of the builds in this section and you will have a better understanding of how the rest of have made some of our decisions. Most of all the problems have been addressed and SOLVED righ here and with limited amount of funds, but bling costs. So tell us what your TOTAL concerns are and someone will try and give you a hand. $.03 The Loonies are up, so spent them

Re: manual or power rack

I have a 51 GMC 1/2 and plan to rod it. I am currently stripping and priming the body piece by piece. Im building and budgeting at the same time and gathering all the info I can so when I get to the next step (the chassis) Im rety. Im still debating a must ll set up or the s-10 thing. This site is the best for info by far. Thanks for the replys.
