700R4 speedo cable? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

My truck originally had a 4 speed. Then it had a Turbo 400 and now a 700R4. My speedo cable is about 2" too short. Also are the threads different for the cable to tranny and it seems like the speedo gear inside the tranny has a larger hole (square thing). Do I need a different cable for this?

I used the cable from a truck with a TH350 with no problems, it was correct length and the connections were a perfect match.... my motor mounts are in the forward frame holes... you might come up short if yours are in the rear holes... have a look.

what length do you need ? i have many cables around, need ot knw if has large or small speedo adaptor on tranny tailhousing
