1972 Truck Value
Hi All,
I may have to sell my truck and I need a little help in determining it's value. I have tried to find comps on the web and in publications, but I have not found a truck similar to mine. 1972 Chev. short bed. 402/400 turbo. 342 posi. Pwr. steering/brakes, factory air/tach. Ralley wheels, Factory chrome bumps front and rear. Reciever hitch. Lot's of performance parts. Body is in good shape. Interior good/excellent. Mechanically very sound. Color Okra/White. I have owned the truck for about 18 years. Not sure what other info is important. Any help in giving me a ball park figure would be appreciated. All opinions welcome. Thanks in advance. |

Re: 1972 Truck Value
1. Do you have any pictures?
2. I bought my 72 for $4500 in feb 402bb/t400/4:10rear. The body is very straight. being black it doesn't hide anything yet @ the same time now I would say I should have given no more than $3k, sine i have bought it I have spent 3k on things that needed to be done, Trans/dist/fuel pump/carb/tires. and a few other things and probably another 3k on things I wanted done. headers /exhaust / upgraded starter / battery / hitch / new bumper. so now I have almost $10k into it and would never get it back. I still am enjoying it even though its gotten expensive and I know I could have saved here and there but I wanted new and got what I paid for. having said all that. a wise man once said you won't get more than someone wants to pay for it. hope that helps.

Woops. OK I'll post it in the right area. Do I need to delete this post or can it be moved? I'm not very savy on these forums.
