194s or 168s Which are brighter

Which light is brighter the 194s or 168s? Time to get the dash done and I need to pickup some bulbs.

Re: 194s or 168s Which are brighter

That is a cool chart. I bookmarked it. Per the chart the 168 has 3.00c.p. and the 194 has 2.00c.p. Time to pick up some 168s
Thanks for the great link

Re: 194s or 168s Which are brighter

Go to www.superbrightleds.com and get some of there 5 pin led refractor style bulbs, they are 3-5 times as bright and will last forever!!! There are about a $1.00-1.75 more per bulb, but you only need 4 of them to light the dash up, the other 5 are for the turn, high beam, and brake/temp lights in the fuel gauge.

Re: 194s or 168s Which are brighter

Think I am going to go with the x5 leds or would they be too bright?

WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb
12 VDC 5-LED Wedge Base bulb (194/168 type)
Super Wide Viewing Angle bulb uses 4 radially mounted LEDs aiming out the sides and one High Flux LED on top
With built-in voltage regulator
Available with Cool White, Warm White, Blue, Green, Red, Amber or UV-BlackLight LEDs
