front bag question...
my bags dont fit in the pocket low enough? i was thinking of buying tubular lower control arms, but they are pricey(who all makes a lower control arm?). i was also thinking of trimming the stock control arm, but i wasn't sure how much I could take off before it was "unsafe". any input is appreciated.

What do you mean? Is the diameter of the bags to large? If so that means you bought 2600 lb. bags and they are to big you need 2500 lb. bags on the front. 2600 lb. bags on the front are to spongy for the rigors of the road they bounce to much. Should be 2500's on the front and 2600's on the rear.

Are they hitting the steering stop/bump stop? I removed that from my lower control arms.

Maybe you could deepen the A arm pocket or the frame pocket.

as for the back, theres alot less weight there, this is where you dont need the 2600 bag and you can get away with the 2500lb bag. maybe if you plan on loading the bed up alot then you may want the bigger bag but most guys slamming their trucks to the ground arent really concerned with hauling that much. |
