first off i want to say hello and nice forum. i saw a pic of a 66 in this months truckin and it had one piece door window glass (vent removed) was wondering if there was a kit out for this or what do i need to get to do this mod. i guess it would help if i told you guys that i have a 66 swb fleet. its kind of an odd ball when i bought it, it had a buick 350-4 in it, it ran so well that im fixing the rest of the truck first lol. any help with the window kit would be great and have plenty of time in iraq till aug. thanks for your time.

Re: door window one piece glass???

IIRC No Limit is who has a kit for this....I haven't used theirs but I've heard it isn't the best. There is a thread or two elsewhere here about this also....just do a search. If I find some I'll post here...

Re: door window one piece glass???

Classic Trucks did a feature called Project Old School on a 1964 Chevy C10, lwb fleetside, where they converted it from a small back window to a big window and one piece door glass. I tried their site at:

www.classictrucks.com

and did a search, but I could not find the tech. article on the door glass modification. You might give it a go, to see if you can find it.

Re: door window one piece glass???

Here's the article in Classic Trucks. The kit in the article is from NO LIMIT. Be careful buying from NO LIMIT, they don't stand behind their parts and won't fix anything if it doesn't work or is damaged when you receive it.

awhite4557:

Thanks for tracking that one down. The series on the Project Old School, 1964 Chevy Truck, is very informative and covers many cool conversions, including one piece door glass, small back window to big back window conversion, power steering conversion, drum-to-disc conversion, Dynamat and a number of other neat upgrades.

Thanks again for the link.

Re: door window one piece glass???

Bought mine from No Limit terrible, lousy directions you will butcher your doors up, did one then I put back had to weld cut door panel back. Leave that to the pros not worth the hassel trust me. they sell junk on the one piece window kit.
