Grille clips?

How do i get the clips off the inner grille in my 71? I undid the screws and tried with plyers to get them off but no luck. Does anyone have any tips or tricks?

Yeah they are. They are the clips on the insert that clip it to the shell.

Smile

Once the screw is removed it is possible to pop them out with your fingers. Hold them to one side, (long side) and push on the opposite side toward the large face. The plastic lip will deflect enough to push them out. I have never had one that could not easily be pushed out once the screw is removed.
