Electric Fan Question
Read tons of info on the fan conversions and have one of the cherokee fans ready to go. I was wondering if anyone was using the same sending unit for both a fan switch and an electric temp gauge? Seems like it should work, but I haven't heard about anyone who's actually done it. I was thinking about an autometer phantom electric temp gauge and sender. Could I just splice in one of these? http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=252640
Thanks, Tony

Re: Electric Fan Question
the temp gauge senders run on resistance. you need one that would be for a dummy light that is an off on. but then it would be too hot then for the fan to come on.

It's a catastrophic success.

Re: Electric Fan Question
Like "cameeks" said. The warning sending unit is to high a setting to control your fans.
