Most of the short fleets that are nice go in the 800-1000 range. That one looks really nice even with a dent. If you bought all new I am sure you would be in the 2000.00 range and it still would not be as good as an original in my book. If you had a truck in that color that you wanted to go to a short bed or had a damged one in that color it would be a great deal.

it was my bed and it has no dents on it. in the picture it had oxidation on it so it looked like it was a dent.as you can see from my other trucks i don't waste my time with stuff that is not so choice. i assure you that 72Ironmike got a choice bed .and i have to say that it was real cool to meet Mike and do business with him. a real class act. Hugger, Yes, my little brother bought it. We either make a 3 or 4 day kamikaze run to pick it up or find transport.

Ive been a member of this board for six years now. Back then you could get a pretty decent short box for somewhere between four and seven hundred bux. Now its more than double that. To me thats just crazy, but I also realize its supply and demand. Sad.

keep us posted. CG, i know what you mean, back when i bought my '69 short 4x4 it was an original stepside and since i'm not a big stepper fan i swapped the bed straight across for a really nice short fleet. the person i traded with thought he got the better end of the deal and was happy as a pig in mud.
