I'm assuming it's a 1 ton dually...I'd put a bed on the back and make it a mean looking one. Kind of like this one...

It amazes me that a small block could power one of those "motor home" trucks around.

I'll take it!!!!!!!!!!! I just looked at one up in Arlington, WA for a little more but it had a rain soaked roof and dry rot in the skirts. I even took the wife along to check it out. We are going to Napa next month for our annual wine tour so I could drive it home!

That's no ordinary 2-barrel equipped 327...LOL! The rearend is an Eaton HO72 with about 5.37 gears. It is pretty much rung out by about 60-65 mph!

Do you suppose the back of the cab was whacked off to make it a walk thru?? If so, you may need a cab -

MAN!!!I gotta get out there and get one of those before they`re all hacked into pickups. What would be more perfect for a 67/72 freak than to have a travel lodge built from our beloved body style.I`d love nothing better than to pull into a camp site in one of those. And,have folks gather to google while the $100,000 rig next to me gets ignored.

Tim, you are a sick man...I like you! I have been hunting one secretly. We take summer road trips and by the time you spend 2 weeks on the road, the hotel costs are well over $1500!! Badturbo has one in cali but I can't get over there to get it!! I bought the front of one and the back of the cab is cut out a little, but a patch and you'd be good to go, as the seat/tank covers most of it and the bed covers the back.

dang.. my neighbor had one of those motorhomes. I lived next to him for about twenty years, and I never saw him move it once. Just start it once in while. Cool rig..

Can someone tell me why GM would put such a small motor in a big rv?

Every series of truck had base and optional engines. I'm pretty sure in '67, the biggest V8 you could get was the 327. BB weren't in trucks at this point, and I'm pretty sure the 350 didn't come along until '69.

Looking at those pix, it appears it is a walk thru...good thing you kept that cab.

Re: 67 chevy motor home 45000 miles 327 4 speed(DRIVER) - $1500

We had one just like that when I was a kid, except it was light blue (I had almost forgot about it until I saw the photos). The radio was AM only, but the 8-track mounted under the dash was the cat's meow! One particular trip we took was to St. Louis to watch the Cards play. The only tape we had that wasn't country was my brother's Steve Winwood's Arc of a Diver. We listened to it for about 8 hours straight.

I would try to buy badturbo's or that one.I could probably even swing the $$ for it.The only problem is it would cost me more to drive it home than to buy it.I can't afford both. The QOV would have a fit.

Yup,327 was the big truck motor until`68.GMC didn`t offer a V8 until they introduced the 327 late`67 in a precious few trucks.

I could buy that and live in it instead of my apartment, a canopy on the side and park my GMC next to it!

Also, you would be surprised what a 327 can do, I've driven one in a grain truck that moved pretty well, even loaded. Pretty well for a loaded grain truck, if you know what I mean.
