how to confirm 50th anniversary truck
is there specific numbers on the glove box door that determine authenticity. are they worth anymore than anyother 68 chevy 1/2 ton any advise what i should be able to pick this up for if it is a 50th and if its not too its a v8 that runs i guess 3 on tree wood bed

I'd put my money on that being a 50th. There is a certain paint code 550? Gold/white on the glove box sicker.
I see you are from Minot. There is a much nicer 68 50th for sale on the strip in Mandan ND. I don't know what they want for it. It looks to be similarly equipped with less rust. I can get a number if you want. Welcome to the board. Good to see another ND'er here.

the thing is that i dont need another truck but this ones just been sitting there for at least a month i tried my best not to look but curiosity got the better of me and checked it out i figured if theyre worth more maybe i could pick it up and after awhile i dont want it i culd get my cash back outta it he wants 600 bucks

I have a question , are all the original 50th truck's long bed's ? like the 67 custom camper's are all C20 long bed's how bout the 50th one's , a short bed one in the gold and white would look cool !!

50th paint code is 551.
A 50th could be had in a short bed too.

should have gold sunvisors, dash pad, gold/white seat(buckets or bench), at least a custom package or cst. 551 gold paint and i can't think of the interior code. looks to be correct color, but doesn't mean it's a 50th. if you can, take a picture of the interior and the option sheet on the glovebox.
oh yeah, if the one in mandan is the one i'm thinking of, it's spendy, something like 3000.

it has gold visors and dash pad the bench seat had a cover and the door was locked i'l try to get a look this week

%0th could be had on any truck in 68... to include vans and Elcys too. |
