1968 Gmc K1500
i have found a 1968 GMC 4X4 half ton with the 305 v6 motor. It is a rather rough farm truck, but doesn't have that bad of rust (slight rockers and mounts, corners ok) It hasn't run in at least 2 years, but was running when parked , the same old story. It has a 4 speed and had a wood bed that is now covered by a sheet of treadplate. The interior is ok except for the seat. the windshield is cracked totally.
Do you think a truck like this is worth 700 bucks i attached an old picture (i've been stalking it for a while now) thanks David

Yep, that's what I paid for my 69 K20, and it looks to be in the same condition.

Re: 1968 Gmc K1500
It should be a Rockwell T221 t-case.I say the truck is worth that price.

Re: 1968 Gmc K1500
4-by frame, salvageable cab and 68 front end -- hell yes that is worth it.
There is a dude on here (Joesjunk i think) that specializes in these.--- that is , finds a beat up 4-by and lowers a cherry 2-by body on it

Re: 1968 Gmc K1500
shhh, don't tell him about this one, i don't want him to get the jump on me
If it was a 1971-72, i'd be all over it, but i just don't know the desirability of the 1968 4X4 parts with the 305 v6 motor, but it is a 4X4 and it is our body style, and i do have an extra small block laying around... thanks David

Re: 1968 Gmc K1500
The 305 doesn't have much value to most but if the cab, front clip, frame is decent, that is where the value is. Huck
