Shift pointer replacement?
I know this is a stupid question, but can someone tell me if there is a trick to replacing the shift pointer on a tilt column? I can get the old stub out!

Re: Shift pointer replacement?
After removing the shift indicator housing, I put the tilt in the lowest position so as to provide a better angle. Then with the pointer assembled into the indicator housing the pointer can be slid into the shift bowl. Once the housing is in position it can be fastened back down to the TS cover. It is a little tricky to hold the pointer in the housing while installing but it will work.
