Re: please sombody help

Front fenders fo 69-72 show the same part number for chevy. Looks like a different story for GMC . Not saying that is true to fit but , appears that is the case in the parts book I have here..Good luck

Re: please sombody help

Something is wrong here, becouse all 67 - 72 fenders would bolt right on... anything 10 series to 30 series, c or k frame, blazer, burb, truck, long, short, step, fleet, cab and chassis... they are all the same and would bolt onto the truck with no problems.
The only thing that would throw you for a loop would be if it was a 67 or 68 chevy fender, or a GMC fender. And that would be minor trim issues, it'd still bolt right onto the truck

Re: please sombody help

You have some issue that you are not seeing. Like Andy said all of the fenders from 67-72 Chevy or GMC will bolt on. Trim and grill issues would be the only problems then. Did you remove both fenders and inner fenders? Maybe the core support is leaning towar the cab? WES

Re: please sombody help

I have rebuilt alot of Chevy cars and trucks and one thing is common on all of them. That is they're all different if that makes any sense. Lining up fenders, doors, hood, cowl and quarter panels take alot of time and trial and error. Just when you think you have it a body line is off, a mrgin is off or weatherstripping makes a door or trunk not shut. I had a 70 Camaro repainted with the 3 piece rear spoiler and after I got it back and put the trunk weatherstripping on the trunk spoiler wouldn't line up with the spiler ends on the quarter panels. I had to adjust the trunk as high as it would go and slam the trunk and leave it for awhile and then open it and lower the latch. After a couple of months of this it finally lined up. Sorry for the ramble. Just keep doing it and you'll get it sooner or later. by the way after market parts always need extra time to install because of imperfections in tooling.

Re: please sombody help

I have found its easier to loosen everything up then install the fenders then go back and line up and tighten up everything from the core support back.

Re: please sombody help

You have to use the correct core support (69-72 Chevy), but the inners are the same.

Re: please sombody help

The doors are already line up correctly right? If they're off the fenders won't line up good either. Your core support has to be at the right height also.
With the doors gapped right and the core support sitting up on it 's pads you should be able to lay a fender up in place and loosely install the bolts without a lot of pain. Minor shimming may be required.

Re: please sombody help

How bad were your old fenders? Could be if they were rusted pretty good, the bolt that mounts at the bottom is still there. It's a good sized bolt and would make your fender not able to line up. Or am I thinkin 73-87 trucks? Anyway, worth a look.

Re: please sombody help

I can only see a incorrect core support or slight imperfection in the front frame horns as being the culpert.
