2,3, or 4 core radiator
I'm going to be buying a new radiator for my 69 1/2 ton with 350 engine.
I was thinking a 4 core would be best, but will it fit? Are 2 core and 4 core interchangeable? I'd like as much info as I can get before making such a big purchase. Thanks for any help. |

Re: 2,3, or 4 core radiator
The 4 core will work but you will need different mounts. I have a 4 core in mine that I got out of a Chevy van from the 80's. They are the same measurements. You have to do a little trial and error to find a lower radiator hose that will work because it turns up when it comes out of the radiator. I think the diesels vans had them. Maybe some gas burners to but I'm not sure. Some will says its overkill to have a 4 core, But if the price isn't much different what the heck.

Re: 2,3, or 4 core radiator
I put a 4 row in my 69. Wider sadles and upper retainers I picked up from my local Chevy dealer. I figure with the high rpms it will be turning with the 4.11 gear I might can use the bigger radiator.
Be sure to take the measurements with you to be sure you get the correct size the first time.
