Hey all, I have been slowly gathering the parts to build up my truck. Just got everything together thought I would throw at you all what I am running and see what you think.

-Steel crank 10/10
-Chrome moly rings
-2 bolt main, ARP studded
-HP oil pump and pick up
-Isky Z-89 630 lift solid cam
-Roller rockers
-Square port heads cc-100.967
-Heads are fully pocket ported and polished
-Manly valves (severe duty)
-Cam button
-Felpro fire ring head gaskets
-Vic Jr air gap intake
-Carb shop 850 double pumper carb
-Belt driven
-Estimated 580 hp

Tranny:
Hughes TH400, summit part # hup-34-2, full manual valve body

Re: My Setup

If I had to guess I'd say low 12's to high 11's. Should be pretty sweet..

Re: My Setup

I'm gonna say traction will be a serious issue with that motor and short rear tire. We run that same cam in our 396 with more compression (12.5 to 1) and it hits really hard. My converter will flash to 5000 and with 5.38 gears and a 32x14x15 slick. Look a few posts down to see a video of my truck. BTW, I have a new best time of 10.87. Good Luck.
