I have been going by this house everyday on my way to work. There is a 70 LWB sitting in the driveway...broken windshield...3 flat tires...bed full of crap. I was on my way home from work...I seen someone pull in the drive. COOL! I stop talk to the guy. Of course same old crap...not for sale. But he says I have parts I can sell you. First off he says I have a complete front end. 69 grille...core support...hood...wiring...fenders...inner fenders. Its sitting in his garage. Almost mint. He says what would you give for it? My answer is always this...its yours you tell me what you want for it. He tells me 75.00. 75.00!!! Then he shows me a 72 bed. Perfect! How much? 50.00. I dont have but 5.00 and my paycheck on me. I tell him I will go and cash my check and be right back. I go back...his S-15 is in the drive...bang on the door...nothing. I waited out side for 1/2 hour....banged on the door again. nothing.

I hate when people do this. I got my hopes all up...and nothing.

Ive dealt with ppl like that before. Thankfully the guy that I bought Ole Blue from wasnt one of them. Thankfully I have a friend that has a 70 Chevy (I think Ill have to look again) that I can have some parts off of (as long as I dont tear it to hell and back

maybe he just got off work and went to the can. Thats usually the 1st place a lot of people go when they get off work. Try agian. I am with you though, I hate people who say yeah you can have it for whatever, then are never around when you get back.

How about the people who say that it's not for sale and then one day they sale it? There was someone in town who had a 55-57 Bel Air that was just sitting in the front yard with weeds growing all over it and my friend tried to buy it from him several times but the guy would never sell it. Drove by the guys house one day and the car was gone. The guy had sold it but not to my friend.

Maybe he got cold feet. Give it a few days so you don't look too anxious.Course maybe he looked around Ebay and saw some way higher prices.

I`ve had people say they`d be right back with money and never saw them again.Deals work both ways.I wonder what his plans were for the evening before you stopped and asked to buy his truck that wasn`t for sale.

I would definately try again! My neighbor has a gold mine and KNOWS IT!! He has several 69-72 Chevy trucks in parts and also has a 71 shortbed 4x4 complete. He wants $1000.00 for a longbed with a disassembled body and NO engine or trans. I had to pass on it.
