Late model 40/20/40 seats in 71 SB?
Has anyone put the newer model seats in? I'm worried about safety since seatbelts are incorporated in he seat. How did you attach the seats? Does someone make a conversion rail?

Take a look at this post from Yukon Jack, he installed 99 Silverado Seats.

Re: Late model 40/20/40 seats in 71 SB?
I did this upgrade and it worked out great. I used a 2002ish silverado seats and they turned out perfect. I would recommend welding a square or retangle shaped of thick metal on the floor for extra strength, and drill through the metal.
The stock sheetmetal isn't strong enough, since you now have the seat belts intragrated into the seats. At least this is what I did. Adam |
