Yes...I believe that is the conversion from the GMC 2000 to the metric Canadian metric version 2000/2.2 kg/lb = 910...LOL!

you may be spot on with the metric fender badge conversion but all the bolts are still standard they must have been using up the left over stock they had.

Re: Is this just a Canadian thing

I have the same badge on my 67... Like you, I am curious as yours is the only other one I have heard of. Manufacturers have done a lot of that in the past though, so I wouldn't be surprised. Hopefully someone on this forum is better educated in this than we are!

Re: Is this just a Canadian thing

Yes Canadian models.

My 59 GMC is a 9310, which in the US would have been 100. Back then the engines in GMC's were different in the US and the Canadian GMC TF trucks have Chevrolet drive trains.

Are you looking for a set of 910 badges?

910 is the metric equivalent of 1/2 ton I guess. 910 whats? I don't know. Nobody else understands the metric system either.

"Officially", we went Metric in 1970.

I think we were fully "Metricated" by 1985-86.

I've got a 3/4 GMC "920" , but I don't think the metric thing started until the late 70's, maybe 78?

Re: Is this just a Canadian thing

Yeah, the US went metric. We sell Coke in 2 liter bottles, the national unit of measurement.

So,the Beaumonts came in SD models not SS,right?I`m a little foggy.I haven`t looked at them in awhile.I remember the letters were different.Like they were Super Duties,I think.
On the trucks, all I know is the last two numbers say what it is:910,920,930...1/2,3/4,1t.

Yes, they were SD which was Sport Deluxe, NOT Super Duty. The maroon car above is a '69 Beaumont SD-396.
