New truck build.
I finally picked it up a week ago out of Tennessee. I trailered it back to Houston from west Tennessee. That was the longest trip I have ever taken pulling a trailer with another truck on it, about 13 hrs total. Anyway, I can't wait to get started on this build, I have so many ideas for this truck. I am thinking about dark blue for the color, 2008 corvette blue. 20x10's in the rear, 18x8's in the front. 2 1/2" drop in the front, 4" drop in the rear. Power everything. I am getting ready to pull the motor and completely tear it apart. It has a 350 in it, not in to good a shape right now. It needs new headers bad. I think that it runs a little rich too, need to adjust the carberator. The interior will be all new as well. To go with the blue color I was thinking about sadle leather interior.

Re: New truck build.
Getting a new truck kicks so much arse! Nothing like laying in bed all night, not being able to sleep, cause you got a million ideas running through your head on what you want to do with her! Nice score, I wish I would have started with something that solid.

Re: New truck build.
Just make sure you leave the 2x4's under the seats. That is the ultra-rare seat mounting option for that year. Easily doubles the value of your ride!

Re: New truck build.
Hey, thanks to everyone for all of the positive feedback on the new truck build. As I said earlier, can't want to tear into her and bring her back to life. As I make my way through the build I will make sure to take plenty of pictures to keep everyone up to date. If anyone has any suggestions on anything at all, please feel free to let me know. The one thing that I really enjoy about building cars and trucks are the friends we make and keep. I look foreward to the many sleepless nights wondering what to do next. Thanks again

Re: New truck build.
Since I bought the truck my wife says that I have to sleep in there................so I figured I would clean it up a bit. That extra space next to my truck is where I put the cot to lay on.

Re: New truck build.
Don't mean to high jack the thread, but with the Conroe swap meet later this month, maybe we should all get together and meet in Conroe.
I have a shop in Conroe, about 4-5 miles from the swap meet, and we can use it for a base. It also has a secured parking lot and such. Swap meet is the 29-31st. Mike
