rewiring for gauge dash
How are the pins removed from the plug to move them?
Also from the FAQ. pages. I dont understand the last part that says, 12- Black /w brown stripe use wire ran from the junction block near battery mounted to pass. side fender with inline fuse located at junction box end. Remove the wires from your loom plug and place the colors in the # on the plug that correponds with the color from the list above. You will need to replace your idiot light temp gauge for a temp. sending unit with gauges. The black and white wire feedsfrom the 12g red wire off the back of alt. and requires the use of 2 - 4 amp inline fuses, this wire you need to make and run. If anyone that has done this can put it into english for me that would be great Last edited by Super-Dave; 04-28-2008 at 02:57 AM. |

Re: rewiring for gauge dash
I actually just did the swap a week ago...let me know if you have any questions. I didn't remove the pins. I cut the and used heat shrink connectors. I also used an extra piece of heat shrink over top of the connectors. I cut one wire at a time and moved it to the correct wire on a connector that I bought off of here. Took about an hour to do everything.
