How much paint do I need to buy?
Hello I am looking to find out roughly how much paint I will need to buy. I am thinks of a metallic blue but it is $$$ so if I had an idea of how much paint, clear coat, and hardener if needed to buy I can make budget. Will I need hardener or is there a easier way to find out? I suck at math I tryed doing a formula on a web sit I just didn't have to much luck with it.
P.s. It is a 68 c10 long box pickup and I am painting it 2 tone white on top and blue on bottom

Re: How much paint do I need to buy?
Depends on if you are going to paint the inside of the bed & inside the cab & firewall. I just painted the outside of the truck & under the hood and used 1 gal of paint & 1 gal of clear along with the activators & gloss hardeners. If you are on a budget, this is the place to get all you need. Good paint too. I've painted a few vehicles with it.

Re: How much paint do I need to buy?
basic paint job. A gallon with all the reducers and activators. Should do it.
www.paintforcars.com has a nice selection of paints. I am fond of the acrylic urethane paint looks good and durable.could leave it just like that, or put a clear coat over that and POP!! looks really good.

Re: How much paint do I need to buy?
70gmcer I am going to paint the insides of the bed but i forgot to mention that it had a wood bed in it that I have jet to replace. The inside cab has been painted white with the door panels painted to match truck color it is a awwwful green. Which in any case I will have to paint the door panels which is no big deal.
p.s. thank for you post everyone
