Customized my dash, no more big hole
I wanted my air controller and XM radio fixed in the dash so I cut out the big hole and mounted the stuff where I wanted it. The XM unit is portable so I can move it to my DD [I am too cheap to have two subscriptions ] Ashtray is history, stereo head unit is in the middle. I needed a reason to get the paint gun out anyway !

Wow, that looks all hi-tech and stuff! I've gotta get a welder so I can get mine so that it can hold a radio without holes all around the edges

Re: Customized my dash, no more big hole
Thanks everyone! I should have done the dash when the truck was apart last summer but it didn't occur to me at the time. But its done now and I am happy with how it came out.
Next I plan on finishing my fiberglass kick panels and then building a small console/cupholder deal for under the front edge of the seat. I intend to build the little console to hold the same cupholder "tray" thats in my 02 GMC. |
