I bought a 67 Stepper with drop spindles on it . I was wanting to know how to tell how much drop they have before I order my coil springs ? This doesn't have a drive train in it so I know I cant measure it .

Re: Drop Spindle ?

Do you know what brand of drop spindal? I believe most drop spindals are 2.5" dropped. I run ECE drop sipndals (2.5") with 2" drop springs...which I think is a really nice looking height for the front.

Yep, I've seen 2" and 2.5", but can't say that I've ever seen anything more, or less than that. Doesn't mean they don't exist, but I think I can say with some confidence that those two measurements are the most popular.

Re: Drop Spindle ?

BellTech makes/made a 3" spindle. If they are BellTech there should be a part # cast on the back side of the spindle. If the part # starts with a 3, they are 3 " spindles

Re: Drop Spindle ?

Odds are they'e 2.5", unless they're Belltechs like stated, but I'm sticking with the odds on this one. Let us know what you find out.
