Re: FYI: 72 LWB on Overhauldin' right now

thanks for the reminder. i thought it was on at 8.

I wonder what they will do for the head lights. And how much mod they will do to the dash.

I've been waiting for this all week. LOL. my life is BOORING LOL.

But this show is some hard core motivation.

Re: FYI: 72 LWB on Overhauldin' right now

whew --- its over --- what a great truck -- long bed and what i would call an ultimate "Resto-mod"

they even left the original side moldings on the bottom for resto dweebs like me! Stock front end, stock instrument panel -- houndstooth seats --- oh well, enuff said --- hopefully some pics will leak out and circulate soon

Normal wheel is 17", he cut it down to a 15" wheel, by making a new 15" hoop.

I never saw where they put the fuel filler either, but it definitely had an underbed tank.

The chick has been gone for a while.

I really like that they did away with the stupid pranks, MUCH better show without them.

The truck is GORGEOUS!!!

Re: FYI: 72 LWB on Overhauldin' right now

Very very nice looking longbed I do agree

I did notice that the truck was a 3/4 ton when it was picked up and left a 5 lug 1/2 ton? The rear was also trailing arms and springs.

Excuse my ignorance, but are not 3/4 tons all leafs?

However, in true C10 fashion they ran into problems.... the show brought back memories of the all the work I just did on mine.

The truck looks awesome!

Re: FYI: 72 LWB on Overhauldin' right now

I agree with the non prank deal. But i don't like that they don't show more of the build then they do.

Still glad they kept the dash stockish. And with a tach.

And why a slide in bed liner???

But only 310 hp out of that motor???

Hate to be a hater, i would trade mine for that one in a heart beat........ Nice build. Liked the kergoress wheels.

Re: FYI: 72 LWB on Overhauldin' right now

So don't everyone got out and use that color scheme since that is about my all time favorite now. I was playing with photoshop yesterday seeing what a front bumper would look like with the tag indention cut and smoothed out and now I know that it looks killer in real life so I will have to steal that idea also and probably find some h3 buckets as well and do the orange houndstooth inserts like I had in my blazer before. Chip is the man!
