brown bread and seat install -
I am putting brown bread down (bquiet extreme) on the floor of my '67 and was wondering about anyone that has done this, did they install the seat over the insulation, or cut out a footprint for the seat and install it metal to metal??

ive always cut around the mounting point, so the frame would sit metal to metal. others may suggest other wise

Wha? I hope you don't mean you cut around the whole seat. I think cutting around the mounting points is wise, but I am sure you could do it the other way if you wanted for some reason. The only bad thing is that the edge might come up over the bracket if the cut is too rough.

I didnt cut out for the brackets, It shouldnt make any difference really either way you go.

I used brown bed also on my Chevy, and just cut around where the seat frame met the floor.I thought I would have a rough time running the bolts down otherwise. I used some cheap insulation from Lowe's on my GMC daily hauler. Big difference. Ya get what you pay for.

I wouldn't see where a major difference would happen either way, but it sounds like the majority of people are actually cutting around the seat mounts.
