Re: 3.73 14-bolt
Is this a single rear wheel?
The later model 14B's are very cool, added ribbing for support and you can yank the drums without having to pull the rear hub. I wish I were closer, I would buy that and make it a dually (WIDE) for my project. I think the C+C 14B I am running will be too close to the spring packs. |

DOH!!!Thanks for asking,Grendel.I patched it up to point out it`s SRW and full-floating one.Too bad I`m kind of hmebound these days.Or,no good traveling wheels right now.I`d love to travel up your way.

Re: 3.73 14-bolt
I figure it`s about location with this thing.I was going to swap it with the 4.10 in my`92 K3500 which has an alignment problem. The tubes are toed-in and eats ties.I decided to use a 4.10 14-bolt I have from a K/30 set.I`ll move the pads. The truck runs good with 4.10s and I would have had to get a 3.73 frontend.I`m using an HO52/No-Spin with the Dana60 from the K/30 set.Follow that?In otherwords,I was going to use this rear myself.I know it`s good.It was in a truck I owned for 5 years.

Re: 3.73 14-bolt
It`s the travel season.Anyone passing by?This is the best time to try the transportation board.I can be patient if interested.I could probably come up with a 3.73 Dana44 to swap your 8-lug outer parts. This is what Rusrbuster did on his`72 K/20 with NV4500(5spd).Makes fuel costs more tolerable.

Re: 3.73 14-bolt
I am sorely tempted, as 3.73's would be about perfect for my conversion truck. I am also thinking SRW instead of DRW.
Just need to get it here.... which makes it more expensive. |

Re: 3.73 14-bolt
I tell you.If there was a sure chance I could make The Loudon Classic aka:Laconia Motorcycle Week I`d trailer my bike and stuff it in the trailer for you.Could still happen.Could still be available.Like I said. The only guy that`ll beat you out will be local, more or less.So...I know I`m not going to ttt it to death. That`ll put more wear`n`tear on the rear than I ever put on it.
