power steering fitting sizes
Anyone know what size fittings fit the output of a mid 80's power steering pump and the input to a hydraboost booster??
I know it is either 18mm x 1.5 O-ring or 16mm x 1.5 O-ring, but I forgot to measure when I was at the shop yesterday. I need to get the fittings ordered asap so I can make a up a AN hose. They look like this: FWIW, if you ever do a non-standard engine transplant, do not expect to splice together two power steering hoses with a barbed coupling and hose clamps. It won't hold, and when it lets loose it will spray hot power steering fluid everywhere. Yes, I speak from experience.

Re: power steering fitting sizes
I went over to the shop and got my hacked-up power steering hose last night. The pump end is 16mm and the hydraboost end is 18mm, both are saginaw O-ring type fittings. So I just got the parts ordered from Speedway Motors to build a custom high pressure hose. With 2 day shipping, the total order is $87.67.
Hopefully this is the last thing I need to get my truck on the road this weekend.
