shifter linkage?
I just converted my 72 blazer back to a automatic. Is this the right shifter linkage for my th350? Can someone post some pics of how it is installed?

Re: shifter linkage?
lets not turn this into a parts thread lindsey. This isn't the right forum, and you aren't a subscribed member.

Re: shifter linkage?
BigBadChev72 sorry for cutting in but I'm also having a similar problem.
Andy, Thanks for the parts break down. I'm also having difficulties lining the Z-bracket up with the linkage bracket. My ride, a 69' GMC StepSide w/ Turbo 350 Transmission. Seems the GMC frames are slightly different than the Chevy frames. Found this out when doing a rear end leaf to coil conversion. When it was all done, I had to add a hole on each side for the upper coil cup to mount. Yes, there is a difference. Same problem seems to be the problem for the tranny linkage. Was/Is/Could this be because the frames are slightly different? Your illustration shows 70'-72' breakdown. I want the column shift but seriously consider going with an automatic floor shifter. HERE'S MY LINKAGE. CORRECT FOR A 69' GMC? The 3rd piece with the spring is installed on the tranny already.

Re: shifter linkage?
Check with board members/vendors: teeitup, billsbowtie or uncle. One of these guys should have what you need. Good Luck

Re: shifter linkage?
harry, it sounds like you may have the engien in the wrong location. If you want to keep it there, or if something else is 'off' for what ever reason, you could simply drill new holes and move the piece that bolts to the frame rail so it does line up.

Re: shifter linkage?
Funny you bring that up. Somebody said that. Drilling new holes may not be a great idea because the bracket does not sit flat on the frame. A hole where the e-brake cable is in the way. Motor is gonna be pulled next W/E. Anyway, Thanks Andy.
