removing screws on the driver door
the damn screws that hold the window reg.. Help ! how do get them out ... rust never sleeps ...

never mind .. that is the old door and for the new door I got the new windpw reg..I had to take the part that holdes the glass window .. the PO had a broken window. and never fixed it .. till I came along .. now how to get the broken glass out of the steel item .. ???????????

But seriously, use the safety goggles no matter what method. |

I second the motion on the screwdriver & safety goggles.
It helps too, if you heat the glass track a little bit, to soften the old rubber/butyl adhesive tape that holds the glass in the channel. It fits tight, and age & sun heat causes it to stick together pretty good. Don't have to make the channel glow red hot, tho !!! Just a bit to warm it up will help soften the tape & make it turn loose. You have to put new glazing tape in anyhow. |
