*****************
I read a thread recently here where someone was recommending *****************'s brackets and bags for the front of 73-87's.
Over this past weekend, I pulled out the springs that had 1 1/2 coils removed from them and replaced them with the stock ones that I received when I bought the truck from the previous owner last summer. The nice thing was that the cut springs dropped the front to a level I really liked except when I turned a corner. With the well tops cut out by the previous owner, it did pretty good but once I put the 454 in, I also put in new wells so I had to raise it up a couple inches so it won't rub under normal conditions, so bags seem like the best option. Problem is, the stock springs raised it nearly 5 inches in the front which puts it higher in the front than the rear. What to do??? thanks for your input... Kenny

Re: *****************
might ask about the raised front end in the suspension forum, go with drop spindles to fix the problem?

Re: *****************
Cut your stock springs for now. Rule of thumb: 1/2 coil = 1" of drop.

Re: *****************
I've always heard suicidedoors' brackets for bags were great, too.
http://www.*****************/67-87Ful...rtBrackets.php Hard to beat the price, if you're getting ready to bag the front.

Re: *****************
I would fully recomend SD.com for anything. They know their stuff. I prefer to call in an order vs. over the web, but that is personal preference. They're usually real cool over the phone and will be happy answer any questions. ALTHOUGH, I wil say, every now and then I get this one b-hole on the phone that isn't so cool. They are about the cheapest you're going to find.

Re: *****************
I've always wondered, do you have to cut a little off the ends of the swaybar with bags or not?

Re: *****************
Cool deal, I may have to get myself some air suspension up front. I'm tired of replacing lower control arms...

Re: *****************
I would also recommend the SD cups. I ran them last time and would run them again for sure.
As for cutting, don't just hack off some amount. Set the cup in the arm and see where it sits. You don't want it to sit below the arm itself. If the cup sticks up 1", then that's how much to cut. Some people have cut too much off and had the bag hit the arm (not good). Better to see the fit before cutting.
