I've heard others stating the Ford factor the person that sold it to us just said it was a '56 Chevy. this is our first classic vehicle. I wanted to do a '41 Willy's and my wife like's '70 Chevelles this is the compromise we came up with concidering we both like trucks. my other hobby is off roading, here's a photo of that hobby Last edited by rockdogg; 05-31-2008 at 09:30 PM. |

Re: pics of our '56
Thanks, if it truely ends up being a dodge bed. curious did all the older beds have a wood floor? our bed is only 4 planks, and looks to be plywood. looks good, but I know it's not stock Chevy.
here's a photo of the bed. |

Re: pics of our '56
I believe that '87 was the last year you could get a wood bed in a GM stepside truck. The stock GM wood bed would have more wood panels and metal slats. You should be able to "google" a picture of it.

Re: pics of our '56
went to a car show this weekend and noticed that stock GM beds don't have inner wheel wells that protrude into the bed.

Stock ones don't, but many of the ones on this board do I'd assume.
