Anybody know how to stop MAR-K Spam? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I've tried to get rid of it but my inbox constantly gets hit with their emails! About a year ago they posted some kind of contest on the board to win free stuff if you registered. That was the BS trap I fell for

Now they won't stop emailing me after several requests to stop!

Jim,how where the requests made?By phone or e-mail...both?I don`t know what to say,unless you haven`t tryed a phone call.

Tim, I've only folowed their directions at the bottom of the spam mail. I never called.

I bought from them and I get an email about every other week. If that is what you call spam, it's the least intrusive spam I get. It's the credit check offers, sex help, get-rich-quick-stuff-envelopes at home spam that I hate. Car stuff....no biggee....even JCWhitney and Styling Trucks ain't no problem.

I get email offers and catalogs in the mail on occasion. The emails I scan over them for any new or on sale item (never know) then hit the delete button.. No problem there. If the catalog or flier is something I can use I throw it on the truck pile stack, otherwise, the trash can is very conveniently located next to my desk..

I receive updates with new parts/prices from them regularly, but haven't noticed a lot of extra spam. I'd take Liz's advice and contact Mar-K and see what they can do for you.

Use the junk mail option and add sender to the block email list.

Thanks Liz, I will do that since following their directions on the email hasn't worked yet

I get an email from them maybe once a month, but definitely not often enough to be considered spam.

Thank you for bringing it to our attention that you are not being removed from our email list. We only send to people who are our customers or who have signed up to get our emails. We have a remove policy at the bottom of our emails and a program that is supposed to clean out the "unwanted" emails along with someone who personally cleans the list on a regular basis. Occasionally one falls through the cracks. This can happen especially if you have more than one email address or an alias.
As with any unwanted emails it is always best to contact the company directly and let them know you want to be removed. If you can't reach us by email, you can call, fax, write or PM us on this forum and the many other forums we participate in.
We regret that your name was not taken off the list before now, but I will make sure it is removed from any mailings from now on.
