Interior Paint

The paints starting to fly! They got the interior done today, and were getting ready to put everything back together to shot the exterior. The color is perfect (I was trying to match how my Dad had it painted 20+ years ago)! The hood can now actually open without having to take the blower off!
The top is getting there - it wasn't in very good shape at all!

Re: Interior Paint

I want some more hood shots! Looks like they/you did a heck of a job on the reinforcement of the opening. How does it look from the top side and was it a stock hood or aftermarket?

Oh ya the color looks great as well

Ok never mind my question's because I searched your posts and found my answers. That is a great build you have going on. So when are you going to change out the anchor in the front end for a DropMember? What are your overall plans for this ride? Also you mentioned how your dad painted it 20 yrs ago, is this the same blazer or one you are building like his?

Re: Interior Paint

I'll post some better pics of the door jams hopefully soon when the rest gets painted.

This is actually my dad's blazer he bought it new in 1972, and rebuilt it a couple of times. Then I inherited it after he passed away six years ago. He was in the process of rebuilding it again so it was in a million pieces when I finally picked it up. It's been a little challenging trying to remember how everything was done from back when I was a kid helping him. So this is a tribute to him! It's been fun for sure! I'll try and get some pics scanned and post them of what it looked like back in the day.

Re: Interior Paint

What a great tribute for Dad! The Blazer is looking good, and I love the modification to the hood.

What color are they shooting on the Blazer?
